Cycling - E-Bikes for Hire

We are able to offer guests at the Tufton the opportunity to hire our fabulous e-bikes.   With a range of 50 to 70 miles a day, our bikes are the perfect way to explore the stunning scenery of the beautiful Eden Valley.

The bikes are a super fun way of getting around the area and make travelling around the various cycle paths and Eden’s beauty spots quick and easy.   The Bikes have a range of 50-70 miles so have proved to be very popular with tourists and locals alike as a fantastic way to see the local sights .  Kirby Stephen and the upper Eden Valley are one of the best areas for cycling, as the landscape is unique with a combination of remote upland fells and fertile river valleys.   The area is well served with roads, and the many minor roads and lanes are in the main well maintained and surfaced, and unlike the Lake District, relatively quiet.

Guides to local cycle rides can be provided, including circular and linear routes all suitable for electric bikes, with an emphasis on avoiding major roads wherever possible.   One advantage of an e-bike is that it is possible to venture further and the upper Eden Vally offers great opportunities to explore a wider area which is remarkable for its outstanding beauty, with many lost lanes to discover.

Price per bike for a days hire start at £45, and we can happily arrange a delicious packed lunch to take with you on your adventures.
